Evaluation Question Six

Camera

The camera we used was owned by group member Ellie. The reasons as to why we chose to use our own camera instead of the basic filming equipment provided by the school was due to the feature of High Definition Filming that Ellie's camera had. We decided to use this as from previous planning we knew that we was going to be filming a lot of our opening in outdoor public scenes. This also meant that we had to do weather checks prior to filming in order to ensure that the particular day chosen would be suitable for filming. The HD feature allowed for us to film in a professional asthetic way even if the weather was raning. When filming at the train station on our 3rd session of filming it was infact raining and therefore, the HD aspect of this camera helped us to aviod grain and bad quality filming. We also had a scene where by we was filming in the morning. In order to emphasise this effect we shut the curtains and dimmed the lighting to create a low key effect. The HD feature allowed for no grain to be shown in the scene also - creating for a professional finsihed look.
