Feedback, Improvements And Final Ideas Film Shot List
After speaking to our teacher and friends and recieving further feedback on what we thought was going to be our final piece, we decided that there were some things that we could improve on that we didnt quite notice ourselves.
The feedback we recieved was that:
1. The narrative was not clear for the audience.
2. You couldnt interpret where the story line was going to go and enigma was lost half way through.
3. The voice over contradicted the mood being portrayed on screen in our action. (Voice over was sad, action being shown wasnt)
4. The female character was forgotten about after the few shots of her were shown at the beginning of the opening sequence.
5. The camera was shaky and didnt look professional in some places.
6. The first few shots were to grainy as the resolution wasnt high enough when we were filming.
7. The credits were not kept consistant as at the beginning they were being shown on mobile phones, only 2 are shown in this way and the rest are on black and white screens.
8. The most significant part within our opening wasnt filmed effectively and could look better once re done.
From this feedback we decided that the narrative being the object that draws the audience in, needed to be established better as its not being portrayed clearly. Our peers and teachers said they found themselves getting lost within the first 30 seconds of the opening as the camera was only following the male character although the voice over being used was speaking about the different qualities of the female character. We feel that with Kate(Evie) being a significant/main character within our story line and opening, she needed more screen time as, as the sequence went on, you began to forget about her very quickly and withought her being on screen, you dont focus on the voice over much. The reason why we think we didnt notice all of these points is because when filming, we filmed so many different shots that we had orignially planned and some of them didnt look as effective as we thought they were going to so we decided to change a few of them.
